The Board of Pharmacy license your clinic is missing.

From application to issued license, prepared by a licensed California pharmacist who does this every week. Every round of Board questions answered until the license issues, however many it takes.

Who this is for

  • The wholesaler asked for your clinic's Board of Pharmacy license number and you sent the physician's.

  • A surveyor or your 340B auditor asked who purchases the drugs at this site.

  • You signed a change of ownership, opened a suite, or moved, and nobody mentioned the Board.

Community clinics and FQHCs that purchase medications at wholesale for their patients hold their own license under B&P Code section 4180; accredited outpatient surgery settings and surgical clinics, under section 4190.

Not for physician offices that only administer what the physician orders for their own patients, and not for sites outside California.

Pharmacist-led. On site, not on a call.

Licensed California pharmacist-led. Board applications, changes of ownership, and clinic permits are our daily work: 300+ California sites a year and 10,000+ audit visits since 2018.

Three licensing projects opened in September 2026: a community clinic system, an independent pharmacy startup, and an accredited surgery center.

We also live on the other side of the license: quarterly consultant pharmacist reviews under sections 4182 and 4192, so the license we get you is one you can keep.

The whole project, carried.

1. Readiness. We confirm your qualifying basis and align the legal name, ownership, and premises across your accreditation or CDPH license, entity records, and the application, before the Board ever sees a page.

2. One worksheet. You complete a single structured information request. We handle the forms it feeds: the application, ownership disclosures, background affidavits, Live Scan coordination.

3. Policies included. The written policies and procedures the statute requires, drafted to match how your site actually operates.

4. Submission through issuance. We file, then answer every deficiency notice and every request for information until the license issues, however many rounds it takes.

5. DEA registration. When the state license issues, we prepare and file the DEA registration and make sure storage, records, and ordering controls are in place before the first controlled substance is ordered.

Board correspondence answered until final action.

The expensive part of a Board application is not the filing, it is the months of back-and-forth that follow a package the Board doesn't like. If the Board asks, we answer, however many rounds it takes, until the license issues. You are never left holding a deficiency letter alone. Scope is set on the discovery call.

Questions we hear first

How long does it take? Board processing currently runs several months. Our part, package assembly through submission, is measured in weeks and moves at the pace you return the worksheet.

Our medical director is changing. Does the Board care? Yes. A licensed clinic must notify the Board within 30 days of any change in professional director, and the consulting pharmacist keeps the policies and quarterly certifications continuous through the hand-off.

We already operate under our physician's license. Is this urgent? It is lawful in the right structure and fragile in most. Ask us to look before a surveyor or wholesaler does; the look is free.

Can you do this outside California? California only. It is the reason we are good at it.

Talk to a pharmacist consultant this week.

How long has the clinic been buying under the physician's license?

What did the wholesaler put on the account when it was opened?

If a surveyor asked tomorrow who purchases your drugs, what would the answer be?

The clinics that call us usually found out from the wholesaler or the surveyor, not from a plan. The call is the plan.

A 30-minute look at your licensing posture: what category applies, what the Board will ask, and what it takes to fix. Free. No proposal unless you ask for one. You get a written summary of what we saw by the next business day. A person confirms your booking the same business day.
